The South Holland Master Chorale

Welcome to the 2015-2016 season of the South Holland Master Chorale! Although the group has been associated with different academic institutions over the past many years, we are now very excited to be once again in South Holland, and operating as a civic branch of the village itself! Our season, our singers, and our dedication to presenting the very best in choral literature have all remained at the same high level you have come to know, expect, and appreciate. Continuing as it has for the past 17 years under the direction of Albert M. Jackson, the SHMC remains the Chicago Southland’s premiere symphonic chorus, having performed many of the greatest masterpieces of classical choral and choral/orchestral literature.

The 130 member chorus has performed throughout the Chicago south suburbs and Northwest Indiana, which orchestras including the Chicago Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the LaPorte Symphony, the Illinois Philharmonic, and the Lake Shore Symphony Orchestra, and undertook a successful European concert tour to Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic in 2011.
